Founded in 2012 by Andrew Bialecki and Ed Hallen, Klaviyo is an email marketing automation platform built to help online businesses reach new heights. Today Klaviyo has helped over 30,000 businesses in 80 different countries grow! 

Today they have over 350 employees with a simple goal in mind to help businesses dominate their marketing. 

In a nutshell, Klaviyo simply stores all of your customer data, then allows you to craft one of a kind experiences across email and other integrated channels so you can expertly measure the results in revenue!

Klaviyo offers countless integrations with all your favorite apps, this includes Amazon, Smile.io, 3dcart, Facebook, and Eventbrite. Klaviyo built an API that makes it incredibly easy to integrate with just about anything! Klaviyo’s pricing is very straightforward and depends on the number of contacts that you have. The pricing, however, begins at $20 per month.

With 300 contacts you pay $20 per month. 

With 1,500 contacts you pay $45 per month. 

With 5,000 contacts you pay $100 per month

WIth 15,000 contacts you pay $350 per month

With 30,000 contacts you pay $500 per month 

With 150,000 contacts you pay $1700 per month. 

If you have over 150,000 contacts then you will need to contact Klaviyo in order to get a customized price. 

I know, I know this is fairly expensive compared to its competitors like MailChimp and MailerLite. Luckily you only pay for active subscribers. That means you aren’t charged for people who unsubscribe from your email list, this is not the case for other email marketing services such as MailChimp. 

However, Klaviyo does come with a free trial that allows you to import and sync your data and access many of Klaviyo’s features for free, however, you are limited to only 500 emails maximum and up to 250 contacts.

When it comes to customer support Klaviyo has not received the best online reviews. Many people have said that they experienced long wait times when solving a problem, you can see how this would be a disadvantage if you need a problem addressed quickly and effectively. 

Klaviyo offers support across live chat and email. The live chat is only available Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm EST. 

 

What are the Pros and Cons of Klaviyo? 

Like every other email marketing tool out there Klaviyo comes with its fair share of pros and cons.
