This is where the magic happens and the fun begins, Omnisend has a system in place that allows you to create personalized email and SMS campaigns in minutes! The best part is that you need NO coding experience whatsoever.

As I have pointed out many times earlier Omnisend was designed for the eCommerce business owner so of course, you will have access to the creation of shoppable emails. This is all thanks to the Product Picker in the Content Editor which allows you to place products in your emails with ease. 

Moreover, you can tailor your campaigns to be sent to the right person at the right time, for example, a customer who may not have made that leap and purchased or simply an email list subscriber who didn’t open your last email. 

My favorite feature about Campaigns with Omnisend has to be the Campaign Booster which resends your campaign to your audience but with a different subject line with the hopes of boosting the click-through-rate. 

Using the campaign features you can also interact with your audience depending on their preferred channels, so if you know your audience is a younger audience who is constantly checking their phones you can build an SMS strategy that is specifically tailored to them. 

 

Content Editor

The Content Editor makes it easy to create basic campaigns and automated email workflows. All you have to do is choose the perfect template and then utilize the drag-and-drop feature to begin building out your campaigns. 

Moreover, Omnisend also has an advanced tool called the Product Picker that makes adding products to your email campaigns a walk in the park. This will allow you to create campaigns at record speed! 

Through the Content Editor, you are also given access to two features that will improve your click-through-rates. These features are the Gift Box and the Scratch Card, this is a unique way to increase engagement among your website visitors that I have never seen offered before on another email marketing tool. I personally didn’t get to try them but I can already see the vision behind how they can help improve my email marketing click-through-rates. 

Furthermore, thanks to the Discount Content Block by Omnisend you can also add discounts to your content in seconds! It also only gives a unique discount code for every customer! 

My favorite part about the Content editor has to be the Product Recommender which automatically adds your best-selling or newest products to your campaign. This is another proven way to boost your conversions. 

There is also a wide library of templates to choose from, these templates were designed with the eCommerce business owner in mind but they still have a professional and modern feel to them!

Forms 

Did you know that 74% of companies use web forms for lead generation, with 49.7% stating their online forms are their highest converting lead generation tool? This just goes to show the increasing importance of having a form on your website.

The next one is Popups, this is no doubt higher at converting visitors into subscribers as it can be set to trigger when a customer takes a particular action. For example, you may only want your popup to appear once a visitor has been on your website for 30 seconds or more. 

The last one is a feature that I have seen rarely used by any email marketing tools exclusively. This is the Wheel of Fortune which offers an extremely interactive way for your website visitors to sign up for your email list. All they have to do is enter their email address and spin the wheel to win a prize! Cool right? 


Reports

With Omnisend’s reporting you get a birds-eye view of how the general automation process is working. You are giving metrics and key performance indicators that will assist you in determining the best course of action with your campaigns. 

Moreover, you are provided with actionable reports that have relevant information that is critical to your email marketing campaigns. Thanks to the Advanced Reporting you can see exactly which campaigns are driving the most sales and which ones have the highest conversion rates.

It would be a crime to send the same message to the same group of people. You wouldn’t send an email campaign for a ladies swimsuit to a male audience, would you? Segmentation and personalization are SO powerful and can make or break your entire email marketing campaigns so it’s important that you have the correct system for it. 

Through smart segmentation, you can split up your audience depending on the action they take. For example, you can send certain campaigns to users who have purchased particular products from you or who have used a certain discount code. 

This works best if you want to encourage upsells by sending offers to certain individuals who purchased your product within a certain timeframe.

Omnisend Pricing is actually quite reasonable for the features that come with it, in fact, this is one of the most reasonably priced email marketing tools I have reviewed. They have 4 different plans, the FREE plan, the Standard plan, the Pro plan, and the Enterprise plan. 

Omnisend’s pricing is based on the number of email subscribers that you have, the following prices are based on the fact that you have 500 or fewer subscribers. 

The FREE plan is of course FREE but you are limited to only email campaigns, signup forms & popups, and reports. 

The Standard plan starts at $16 per month and you get everything in the FREE plan as well as SMS Campaigns & Automations, Email Automation, Audience Segmentation, and 24/7 email & chat support. 

The Pro plan starts at $99 per month and you get everything in the Standard plan as well as push notifications, Facebook custom audiences, Google customer match, priority support, and advanced reporting. 

The Enterprise plan consists of custom pricing that is determined based on your subscribers and it has additional features such as Facebook Messenger, Email Account Migration, Dedicated Account Manager, Deliverability Support, and Custom IP Address. 

If you decide to purchase the annual subscription you will pay a discounted price. For example, if you have 500 subscribers and you purchase the Standard plan annually you will pay $13 per month.

SMS Pricing 

When it comes to running your SMS campaigns you will be charged based on how many SMS messages you will be sending out every month. You will have to purchase credits if you are on the Standard plan, SMS credit subscriptions start at $20 per month. 

How much does it cost to send an SMS message on Omnisend? One SMS message cost $0.015 so that means to send out 100 SMS messages costs $1.50 and to send out 10,000 SMS messages cost $150.00.

Note: If you sign up for the Pro or Enterprise plan you will get free SMS credits! 

 

Omnisend Customer Support 

There will come the time in the entrepreneurship journey that you will need to ask for help. So it’s of the utmost importance that you have access to a customer service team that will be there to assist you every step of the way. 

The customer support at Omnisend I must say is pretty great! There is an excellent Help Centre that is equipped with solutions to almost every problem that you may face while setting up Omnisend. This Help Centre has everything from how to get started on Omnisend to learning how to build campaigns to learn how to set up email marketing automation. 

They also offer email support but my favorite has to be the Live Chat option. Anyone that knows me knows that I don’t feel comfortable with the software unless it has a Live Chatbox.

 

If you purchase the Pro or Enterprise plan you will be assigned a dedicated Account Manager who will be there to help you get your problems solved in the quickest and most effective way possible.

 

Omnisend Pros and Cons 

Like every email marketing tool in the market, Omnisend comes with its fair share of pros and cons. Here’s a shortlist of the pros and cons of Omnisend. 

Pros: 

  • This email marketing tool was designed specifically for eCommerce so every feature is optimized to improve the eCommerce experience. 
  • They have a wide range of integrations with a number of platforms. 
  • Amazing Customer Support 
  • Their automation system has to be one of the most powerful I have ever seen in the game. 
  • Despite the wide range of features, the platform is still relatively easy to use and operate. 

 

Cons:

  • The pre-built templates for the sign-up forms did not catch my eye like other templates on other platforms but hey, this is just my opinion, you might love them!
  • For some, the price can be a bit hefty for the features that it offers. 
  • There is also no RSS integrated email for blog posts however Omnisend was not made for the blogger.

If you sell any products or services online and you’re looking for a system that will assist you in marketing these products via email then I definitely recommend giving Omnisend a shot! 

Omnisend was engineered for the eCommerce business owner that needs that extra boost when it comes to their online marketing.
